Yes, that's right. There will be a Compendium update in 2026. The plan is to make it public along with the annual 2026 Army lists update i.e. april/may 2026. So if you plan to print your WMR rulebook, hold your horses just a little bit and wait for the versinon 2.1.
You don't need to worry about any significant changes to the basic rules - there will be only minor clarifications in this section. Most of the updates are focused on scenarios and siege. There also will be some adjustment to the magic items. Most of the changes will be published ahead soon in a form of experimental rules. Stay tuned.
